You can only transfer once without sitting a year correct? If you transfer twice you have to sit? Just wondering…it’s important for these transfers to find the right fit.
I’ve watched some highlights of Okani and Hima. Okani should be a decent defender with size, quickness, and a 7’ wingspan. We absolutely do not want him shooting threes at 19%.
Hima is super athletic and would probably be a good pickup for us if he’s interested. We need a 2nd big for sure and we would complement Cam well.

Check out Cam working, getting ready for June to come. Proud of this kids work ethic, drive and determination!

For example, Amari Davis was at Green Bay then transferred out and I just transferred back to Wright State. So he has to sit out a year, correct? Because the weather they were talking about him in the right state board made it seem that he be a little right away but I didn’t think that was correct. Okani is a commit and Hima is a possibility But both would definitely bring size. And Okani bringing that from the guard position is really interesting.

The Flames updated the '22-'23 roster (except for Toby Okani and Tyler Stevenson) and Damaria Franklin is still listed. He didn't enter the portal, just said he was testing the NBA waters without an agent. Does anybody think he's coming back to the Flames?

I guess on one hand it makes sense - he didn’t enter the transfer portal and hasn’t hired an agent so I guess he isn’t gone. But to me that’s pretty promising. Maybe he likes the additions and thinks that coming back a year could improve how he looks to potential European league and up his stock.

UIC has contacted Mounir Hima. I think he’d be a great fit with a friend here in Okani, and we’re as attractive as any school on that list.

Since Cam can shoot the three, there could be times that both are on the floor at the same time...Mounir at the Center while Cam is the Power or Stretch Four Forward. Could be quite interesting if Mounir does indeed follow Okani.

With Okani Committing the other day I start to look at this as a when it will happen to them if it will happen. But thinking of those two centers on the floor the same time with Kim possibly move over to the power forward and stretching it out that is pretty impressive. Have two guys that size and then don’t forget forget Okani and 6’8” On the court as a Guard. That’s some real impressive size

Fens IMO is the biggest recruit UIC has gotten since Ford back in the day. This kid is not just going to be an outside shooter. He’s 6ft 11 250 and young. He probably will put 10 more pounds of muscle in and from the videos I watch will play physical too. As for the other kid that would be quite a dynamic match, we could use another rugged power forward and a shooter too. From what I am seeing the MVC is loading up with transfers.

Tyler Stevenson should be the power forward we need. We still really need a veteran point guard, a three point sniper would be helpful as well. I would like us to sign Mounir Hima as he would be a great fit for us also

4 scholarships left. I think 2 true point guards, a nice 6'7"-6'8" SF and another 6'10" or above Center. That group would round out a very varied, talented and athletic team heading into the MVC.
